Goals! What Everyone 'Talks' about, yet Don't 'Walk' about. Here's my take: Embrace it...how can it hurt! P.s., I have a Goal: "I will speak and think with positiveness and love first for the next 12 months (ending June 2010)." After that, then I'll measure how that has served me. So what, if it doesn't work...I know at least that the Bloggers here will speak kindly of me in conversation with others. --eResumes4Vips

Goals, achievements,... it all leads to the same thing, which is to aim high, shoot for the stars, and work towards being and having the best. Of course, having a goal, making a plan, then following the plan can help. lol

@Mike - I've certainly been there also.. what I've discovered is when I take more of an effort to make my goals into real "goals", and set myself deadlines, I'm way more likely to achieve them. I like the 'keep moving forward' quote!
@Sunny - Hi, thanks for your comments.. I've thought about your 'word of wisdom', it's a great saying... I'd like to think that when I have problems, they will fall more often into the "don't know how to get there" category rather than not knowing what I want!

Yes, this is great article.Your sentence made me think back about a little word of wisdom I once heard Cherry say “There are only two problems in life: You know what you want, but you don’t know how to get there. Or you don’t know what you want. So there you have it, thanks for your work.

Yeah why is that it seems like you can read a post like this and get motivated to "change" your life. You may even get as far as writing down some goals and setting up a plan but the 1st milestone that is met with resistance or difficulty sends the whole effort to a screeching halt. That what I need to get past it may sound silly but in Kids movie "Meet the Robinsons" had a quote/mantra throughout it "Keep moving Forward" If I could do that I might actualy acheive something great.

Hey Ross, great post..I have actually always liked goals. It's finishing them that I have trouble with. It almost feels like I'm afraid but aside from that being silly I'm not sure what I'm afraid of? Sounds like a post for your to research! :)
