@Mike – thanks for your thoughts, for me personally the best I can do is learn from my past decisions and try to make better ones next time! The steps you’ve outlined are really great reminders that our attitude determines our outcome.
@Carla – this reminds me of the video ‘the secret’ (not suggesting everything in the vid is necessarily correct, but some concepts certainly hold true). Expecting or accepting that you are going to achieve something really starts with changing old thought patterns, doesn’t it.. Thanks for your comments!

I’d like to change “yes we can” to “yes we WILL.” I learned you only get what you expect to get. Starting this business has helped expand my mind in that area. Learning, writing, reaching, etc has helped my self-confidence a lot. I have a ways to go, but I feel I’m heading in the right direction for the first time.

A great post, Ross.

Man, so often I say I want to make a change in my life and so often I get caught up in the current of the “status quo”.

Some people just know what they want to do and do it. I find I have to ruminate, and overthink and analyze and setup support systems and… what was it I wanted to change again?

Life would be so much better if I would consistently take specific steps to say:

1. Yes, I want…
2. Yes, I can…
3. Yes, I will…

Pessimism, negativity and just plain old busy-ness always seem to muddle the process.
